The local course is second to none for scenery. You can enjoy it to the fullest by walking the 18 holes. At an average four and one quarter hours, the play at Canmore Golf is quite quick and reasonably priced too. But with a membership of 700, you won’t be alone. Book three days in advance for start times at under $100 per person for 18 holes.

Stewart Creek Golf

Tucked under the Three Sisters, Stewart Creek is a player-friendly course, that is challenging without being extreme. Our source, who learned the game as a groundsman and caddy on these links, likes the 17th hole, chiseled right out of bedrock to inspire an awesome game. Twilight golf is under $100; 18 holes under $200 in peak season.

Silvertip Resort Golf

This is the true, alpine golf experience that captures the essence of the Rocky Mountains we live in. It’s very dramatic, very photogenic. There isn’t a signature hole to describe it. Each hole is as different as any Rockies’ peak. Play 18 holes at Silvertip for over $150 in peak season.

Frisbee Golf at CNC

If you can throw a Frisbee, you can try your hand at the Frisbee golf course at the Canmore Nordic Centre. The object is to hit the marker in as few throws as possible. Even if your aim is off, you'll enjoy a wonderful trek along the trails of the former Olympic site. Rent a Frisbee and pick up the course map at Trail Sports.

Wildlife Warning

Bear sightings are possible on most outings. Loud shouts in confined areas will announce your group’s presence. Prepare for sudden weather changes and turn back if you’re tired.
