Fun evenings are just a short walk from your Bow Valley Motel base. Canmore’s most popular locals’ pub is the Drake, just across the creek. You can expect a live band on weekends from 10 pm. A full menu of pub grub is offered until 11 pm. Or join others for a home brew on the outdoor patio at the Grizzly Paw, next door to your right. Boston Pizza lounge is a good place to enjoy a drink and watch the game. Zona's and Communitea offer occasional mid-week open mic and musical entertainment.

Put on your high-heeled sneakers and head out to Hooligan’s on Friday’s for happy-hour highballs. This is a younger crowd so expect hi-jinks and boorish humour. It can still be a good, cheap time. Alternatively, The Hoodoo Lounge and The Aurora are cool dance spots in Banff. Expect to pay more.
